Live Poznan: Album hits August

Crippled Black Phoenix are to release a double disc live album entitled "Live Poznan" on 19 August 2013 through Cool Green Recordings, part of the Mascot Label Group [Cat. No. CGR 7402 2]. "Live Poznan" follows the success of the band's last albums "(Mankind) The Crafty Ape" and "No Sadness & Farewell" which charted in multiple European countries. "Live Poznan" serves up the band's customary large dose of rock, the volumes have been turned up and the self-awareness is ever-present. And at the heart of the sonics there's the theme of misery-vs-hope, a well-known Crippled Black Phoenix motif. The album was recorded in Poland, late 2011.

Crippled Black Phoenix started in 2004 when Justin Greaves (formerly the drummer of Iron Monkey, Electric Wizard, Teeth Of Lions Rule The Divine, The Varukers, etc) picked up a borrowed guitar and began to make simple demos. 8 years, 5 critically acclaimed albums and quite a few line-up changes later, Crippled Black Phoenix is a force to reckoned with.
