Single, Album, UK Live Debut

On 12 April 2010, Lunik release 'People Hurt People' the new cut from their stunning new album 'Small Lights In The Dark', which is itself released 3 May 2010 through FOD Records and distributed by Nova. The video for the single is now complete and has been created by the multi-award-winning Luc Janin and Richard Stewart [Stereophonics, Gorillaz, Coldplay, Snow Patrol]. Lunik make their UK live debut at a strictly invite-only showcase at Madame Jo Jo's on April 7th.

With the album debuting at number one and already confirmed double Platinum in their home land of Switzerland, these new releases from Lunik seem sure to build on their recent A-list status at BBC Radio 2 [both previous singles]. Riding the crest of a wave of radio play and critical acclaim across Europe, Lunik are something really special. The Mirror said, "Imagine a band pitched between The Cardigans and Crowded House with a front-woman who can make spines shiver and knees tremble. Nice!" The Pop market is falling for them with Sugar stating simply, "We love Lunik!"

Lunik specialise in self-penned Pop songs that pack a lyrical punch as well as showcasing the band's musical chops and Ja?l's unrivalled "gorgeous haunting vocal" [Hitsheet]. "Lights in the dark are a common sign of hope," she explains, "and I have realised to let go of my worries. Everything now just comes down to the songs themselves ? they are my small lights".

'Small Lights In The Dark' represents a huge leap forward for Lunik. Frontwoman Ja?l has become a truly remarkable songwriter and the vocal performance on the new album is simply incredible. Poised for success worldwide - the band are about to ink a huge US deal and have signed a global deal with The Agency Group - those lights are about to get a lot bigger and a lot brighter.
